LYFE Kitchen

LYFE Kitchen

Russ and I have grown to really like the fast casual category of restaurants. They seem to be popping up more and more and typically promise a higher quality of food with fewer frozen or processed ingredients than a fast food resaturant. They usually featureunique decor, tasty cuisine, and reasonable prices. Enter LYFE Kitchen stage right as it most certainly fit the bill. Upon finding they offered gluten free options and checking out their menu, I knew it would be a place we would enjoy! My sister and family were game for giving it a try as well.

I had a tough time deciding on what to order or more so what not to order. There were many options that were ticklin’ a tastebud or two! And typing right now, I find myself salivating when thinking about the quinoa crunch bowl, sweet corn chowder, and chipotle potato hash I passed up! However don’t worry because my grilled cheese was no disappointment, featuring house-made pimento cheese topped with arugula and sliced tomato! Russ opted for the grass-fed farmhouse burger on what he called the “best gluten free roll EVER” and a side of tasty garlic parmesan sweet potato fries. The fries were yummy for being baked, but deep fried is always better, amiright?

Ben loved his unfried chicken - not sure if it was as much that he really liked it or that by eating it he might be able to get a chocolate chip cookie out of the deal. Either way he ate it up! My sister also was fond of the same unfried chicken atop a bed of brussel sprouts and butternut squash. YUMM-O! Jim enjoyed his meal of mahi fish tacos served with slaw, green salsa, and a chipotle aioli atop corn tortillas (gluten free for the win)!

While the food was tasty, my favorite part of LYFE Kitchen was the chilled sparkling water on tap. Can anyone out there install one of those in our 5th wheel? No seriously, anyone??
